Thank you for your interest in the Western Maine Board of Federation Softball Umpires. We are the board that services high schools and junior high schools for Cumberland and York Counties 

To join this board you must complete all the steps listed on the Home Page.

Note:   School Paid Umpire Fees for the 2026 season:  Varsity: $97.50   All Sub-varsity: $73.00               

Sub-varsity working alone: $109.50 (1 1/2 times for games worked alone)  

50 cents a mile No mileage under a 5 mile radius

To be on the WMBFSU, you must join USA Softball - Maine. If you are interested in summer rec ball, you need to pass the USA Softball rules test (no additional charge). There are variations from NFHS rules, and they may also cover slow pitch, co-ed, etc. For further information contact:
